They constantly cancel the journey and wait for a surcharge increase for ‘increased demand’ before taking your booking. This app is the biggest scam going, constantly the drivers say they’re busy and then they accept only to cancel on you if they don’t like the journey. We had specially stood and ordered from a location that was not impacted by the traffic and was facing the correct direction for the trip but bolt doesn’t seem to be able to take into effect traffic and direction. This time we closed the app and reopened it and another driver close by picked up but bolt said 2 minutes but actually took 10 due to traffic- the app does not seem able to handle traffic, luckily we were picked up and the driver this time was fantastic but we were delayed 30min on a trip to the airport which was extremely frustrating. The wrong direction again and after another 10 minutes they cancelled and bolt then told us there were no drivers. We recently used Bolt quite extensively on a trip to Lisbon (we have also used Bolt in London and Slovakia) and initially we had great service, my main complaint would be the electric car owners all had the ventilation turned off- but then it was time to return to the airport, we had plenty of time (luckily) and our ride was quickly picked up with a 3 minute wait but we noticed the driver was driving the wrong direction into the city centre away from us and was not turning at any of the streets bolt suggested to come back, after waiting 10 minutes in the street for the driver they cancelled, bolt assigned another driver who was further away I.
